Emmanuel

Emmanuel is a popular Mexican gospel, pop, and romantic singer, songwriter, and musician, hailing from Mexico City, Mexico. Born to an Argentinian bullfighter and Spanish singer, Emmanuel released a string of albums towards the tail end of the ‘70s, before finding popularity with the full-length “Intimamente” in 1980. Written by Spanish ballad composer Manuel Alejandro alongside Ana Magdalena, the album spawned seven hit singles including “Todo Se Derrumbó Dentro De Mí”, “Queiro Dormir Candado”, and “Insoportablemente Bella”. The album catapulted Emmanuel to romantic ballad notoriety, however the singer began to expand his sound and explore the sensibilities of soul, R&B and gospel in aid of his emotive vocal delivery.
