La Original Banda El Limón, founded in 1965 by Salvador Lizárraga in El Limón, Sinaloa, is one of the most iconic and enduring groups in Regional Mexican music. With nearly 60 years of history, the band has become a pillar of the banda genre, known for its passionate performances, timeless hits, and multigenerational fan base.
Over the decades, they have released more than 35 studio albums, blending rancheras, cumbias, corridos, baladas, and more. Their longevity and musical versatility have earned them widespread recognition and industry accolades, including three Latin Grammy Awards and numerous nominations and honors from Latin Billboard, Premio Lo Nuestro, and ASCAP.
